Jitka Matiová & Jan Mihaliček: Detail (also) makes a man

The exhibition entitled Detail (also) makes a man came from a young Romani photographer Jitka Matiová, who Jan Mihaliček mentored. As the name suggests, the theme of this exhibition is detail, which is a kind of abstraction. Jitka Matiová and Jan Mihaliček thought together about where it is possible to go in detail when individuality and concrete come together, anonymity begins, and whether a person can be evaluated based on detail and the basis of incomplete information. An experienced expert can tell who the person could be by his face or figure. But can only a detailed view of the eye, lips, or hand do the same? The spectator can think about who the original model could be and thus become an active participant in this exhibition, at least for a while.
